THINGS TO DO
Cycling
As a keen cyclist myself I can highly recommend the area for cycling. The scenery is stunning with beautiful villages, hills and lakes accessed by a multitude of very quiet roads. There is also an extensive network of very well marked offroad routes and if you are looking for something a little more extreme there is a superb downhill course which starts at the 3000ft summit of the Puy de les Monedieres
Walking
As a keen walker myself I can highly recommend the area. The scenery is stunning with beautiful villages, hills and lakes accessed by an extensive network of very well marked routes.
Kayaking
Situated on the banks of the River Vezere, and close to Lac Bariousses, Treignac is a great base for kayaking. It was also the venue for the 2019 World Championships and will be hosting them again in 2022.
Lac Bariousses
At Lac Bariousses there is a lovely fresh water beach with an excellent restaurant and bar. There are a multitude of activities on offer including Kayaking, Paddleboarding, Pedalos and the fantastic Treign'aquaparc.
Paragliding
Paragliding is very popular in the area with close access to Puy de les Monedieres and Suc au May which are great take off points. There are also courses available from ecole parapente Corrèze - Monédières Millevaches Vol Libre which is based next door to us.
Horse Riding
As I have mentioned earlier the area has a huge network of very well marked offroad trails for all to share.
